Consultation about hearing aid
If you have any papers related to the hearing aids, please hand them in at the reception desk.
In this clinic, on the 1st, 3rd, 5th Wednesday9:30～11:30 & the 2nd, 4th Monday15:30～18:00, we give consultations on hearing aid by appointment.
If you want your hearing aid adjusted, inspected and cleaned or you want to try or borrow(free) a new one, please make an appointment, after examination and audiometry.
In case of serious difficulty in hearing, you are designated as having a physical disability and there is public assistance for purchasing the HA.
A specialist for HA will listen your hearing trouble.
There are 3 kinds of HA. Box, Hang and Hole.

At first, we will choose a suitable HA considering not only hearing ability but also the budget and request. Secondly, we will check that the HA amplifies the sound efficiently. If necessary, we will make a mold of your ear hole to protect the sound from leaking. Once the HA has been fitted, you make take it home. For 1-2 weeks you should check that the sound is not too loud or too quiet. Once there are no problems, you may start using the HA in your everyday life. Maintnance is important for your HA.

How to communicate to the people who wear the hearing aid

Speak to them closely. Make eye contact in a quiet place.
Slow and clear voice. Restate. Call their attention before talking to them.
Maintenance of the hearing aid
- Wipe with dry cloth.
- .Keep in the case when not in use.
- Remove the electric battery when you don't use it for a long time.
- Keep the earmold & sound path clean.
- Change the guard for earwax.
- Shake off the water from earmold or earplug.
- At least twice a year, have the specialist inspect and clean.

Hang & Hole types use the Zinc-air battery.
Box type uses the size AA or AAAbattery.
The flat battery is the most common trouble.
Sleep apnea syndrome (SAS)
The symptoms of SAS are a lack of concentration, feeling sleepy in the daytime and a tendancy to have a heart failure. If you have headaches in the morning, accidentaly fall asleep in the daytime and are told that you snore loudly, please consult a doctor.

Pollen information
The common symptoms of hayfever are sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion. Other symptoms are conjunctivitis and laryngitis etc. The most common cause is cedar pollen. There are other origins, hinoki, kamogaya, ragweed, mugwart, etc. These are anemophilous plants which flowers are pollinated by the wind. So they emit and huge amounts of pollen. The pollen is an alien substance for the human body, some people are allergic to it. The flowering period is from February to November. Someone who is sensitive to more than one pollen show symptoms which last for several months.

Cedarcure : Sublingual Tablet of cedar pollen
An oral medication which cures hay fever caused by cedar pollen. You put a tablet of cedar pollen under your tongue. This treatment is available for people from the ages of 5-70. Treatment must be started anytime from June to December.
At first, you must take a blood test to be diagnosed with the hay fever caused by cedar pollen. After that, take once a day. You have to continue the treatment at least 2 years. Maintain the sublingual tablet for 1 minute, then swallow. Within the first week, the dose is below average, then fixed dose.
You must keep the medicine in the room temperature and any other people can't take it.
If there is something wrong, see a doctor immediately. Don't stop or resume without consulting.

An oral medication which cures allergic rhinitis by tick. You put the tablet under your tongue. This treatment is available for people from the ages of 5-70. Treatment can be started anytime.
